Is Matt Harvey Better than Stephen Strasburg?

Tonight the Nats face the MetsMatt Harvey at Citi Field in New York.  Strasburg will be pitching for the Nationals.

In three starts this season, Harvey has 25 strikeouts in 22 innings, giving up 2 ER, 6 H, and 6 BB.  These are sick numbers.

Harvey, in 13 career starts dating back to last season, has averaged 10.5 K, 5.3 H, and 3.5 BB per 9 innings.  Strasburg, in 48 career starts, has averaged 10.9 K, 7.5 H, and 2.4 BB per 9 innings.  They are both 24 years old.

Tonight will determine once–and for all time–who is the better pitcher.  Really?  No, not really.  But if you’re a Nationals fan, or a baseball fan, or a human being appreciative of another human being performing at the top of his career field, it’s a must watch.

To skip it would be like walking past the Sistine Chapel between 1508 and 1512 and not taking a peek inside.

Hyperbole.
