Jayson Werth is the Nationals new poster boy

Ryan Zimmerman is out. Jayson Werth is in.

The Nationals have replaced the mural of Ryan Zimmerman’s walk-off home run against the Yankees on Father’s Day in 2006. The mural had been behind the scoreboard on the second level of Nationals Park since 2008, the stadium’s first season.

In its place is an image of the celebration awaiting Jayson Werth at home plate after his walk-off home run in Game 4 of last seasons NLDS.

It’s an upgrade. That was awesome.
